Nine gems for nine planets, the old Deccan way. Each hinged gold panel frames a central cabochon ringed by eight smaller stones inside a pierced quatrefoil, with uncut polki brightening the borders. The stones are left unfaceted, warm and talismanic rather than sparkly. Jali work shows through from the reverse.
